It's official, the Judge signed Lillian's final order of adoption on Wednesday May 13th. Two years ago this month we found her in the court file, and immediately offered to adopt her and give her a permanent home. The law is in the best interest of the child, the statutes support keeping siblings together, and the policy is to get children permanency quickly.

In the real world it doesn't happen like that, and we now have two adoptions to prove that the best interest of the child is just rhetoric, there is no meaning behind those words. Unless and until those who make decisions contrary to the law, policy and best interest of the child are held accountable for their bad job performance, it won't change.

God knows everything, corrupt and pure, and HE made the decision for this child to be ours. Praise to the Lord that she was protected throughout the entire process. May all the glory go to Jesus.
